Insight

Summers Henderson produced, directed and edited this 10-minute documentary, along with David Drees and Chris Summerfield.  "Insight" profiles three women who have experienced age-related blindness.  To help them adjust, they are taking classes in life skills at the Elder Learning Center at the Perkins School for the Blind, in Watertown, Massachusetts.  The filmmakers had limited access to the subjects, to lessen disruption to the classes.  All the shooting was completed in three brief visits.

Summers made "Insight" for the documentary filmmaking class, as part of the Master of Arts in Media Arts program at Emerson College in Boston.  The film screened at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
