Summers Henderson edited this short theatrical performance. It was directed by Greg Watkins, in conjunction with his MyShakespeare media project, which provides free, educational versions of Shakespeare plays.
"Sir Thomas More" was a play written, but not performed, in the 1590s. There is a short section of the play that literary scholars have deduced to be written by William Shakespeare. If correct, these pages (seen in the video) are the only remaining sample of Shakespeare's handwriting. More importantly, this monologue is a powerful reflection on human rights and the value of immigrants in any society.
